# Voice profiles

> Glow learns a person's voice from stories they told, only to label who spoke in a conversation. It never makes a voice.

When two or three people talk, a recording alone does not say who said what. A voice profile lets Glow label who spoke, so each story belongs to the right person.

## How it works

- **A person tells stories.** Glow keeps the recordings of the stories they tell.

- **Glow learns the voice.** It learns that person's voice from those stories.

- **Speakers get labelled.** In a conversation, Glow labels who spoke.

## Only a label, never a voice

Glow learns a person's voice from stories they told, and uses it only to label who spoke in conversations. It is never used to make a voice. We'll never fake their voice.

## You stay in control

Switch the voice profile off and it is forgotten. It works with [Living Room Stories](/features/living-room-stories), where a conversation is split into stories and labelled by who is speaking.
