FAQ
What is Glow?
Glow is a private app for your family's living story. Capture your children's childhood, help a parent or grandparent tell their life in their own voice, keep your heirlooms with the stories that make them matter, and gather a loved one's memories when they're gone. The whole family can add to it, even relatives who never sign up. Nothing is invented, and Glow will never fake a person's voice.
Who is Glow for?
Families, across generations. Young parents use it to save the little years. Children play the family game and learn who's who. Grandchildren record a grandparent telling their life. Older people tell their own story. And when someone dies, the family gathers everyone's memories of them in the same place.
Is Glow only for after someone dies?
No. Most families start with the life they're living now: a toddler's first words, a grandparent telling how they met, the box of prints in the cupboard. When someone dies, the same space has a memorial mode, with an "In memory of" page, a condolence book and a candle. Remembering is one end of the story, not the front door.
Is Glow a memorial website?
No. Glow is a private family space, not a public website. Its memorial mode lives inside that private space, alongside everything else about the person's life, and nothing is public unless you choose to share it.
Does Glow fake a person's voice?
Never. Glow keeps real recordings, with the person's consent and under the family's control. It will never generate a person's voice or offer an AI version of them to talk to. Stories Glow writes are a retelling of what the family gave, in their words, and never speak as the person.
Does Glow make things up?
No. Every name, caption and year comes from the family. Glow suggests faces it has learned from names you've confirmed, but it never names someone on its own guess, and nothing on the photo frame is invented.
Is Glow private?
Yes. Your family space is private by default. Family members join by invite, with admin or member roles, and you choose what, if anything, to share outside it.
Can relatives without an account add to it?
Yes. Send a guest link and a relative can add a story to a photo without signing up. It's often how the uncle who never installs anything ends up telling the best story.
What languages does Glow speak?
English, Hebrew, French and Spanish, with real right-to-left for Hebrew. A grandparent can tell their story out loud in the language they think in.
Is Glow a genealogy or DNA service?
No. Glow doesn't search historical records or do DNA tests. It builds a living family tree from the people your family names in its own photos and stories.
How do I start?
Pick a handful of old prints and scan them with your phone; Glow finds the edges and splits several photos from one shot. Name who's in them, then invite one relative who will know the rest of the story.
What does Glow cost?
There's no published price yet. You can start your family's story today at tryglow.ai.
